EPA taps Makah man for regional adviser post

Jim Woods, a member of the Makah Nation of Washington, has been named senior adviser for regional tribal policy to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Woods will advise Region 10 of the EPA. The region covers more than 250 tribes in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

"Mr. Woods brings a wealth of tribal and environmental experience to EPA that will help us build stronger partnerships with our Pacific Northwest and Alaska tribes," said Elin Miller, the regional administrator.
