Former Comanche Nation police chief sentenced
Ray Anderson, the former police chief of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, was sentenced to five months in prison and five months of home detention for stealing from the tribe.

Anderson, 55, pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement. He sought leniency at sentencing but Judge Robin Cauthron said he deserved prison time.

Anderson set up a bank account and deposited money meant for the tribe's police department. He admitted taking about $50,000.
