Turtle Mountain Band assesses damage from tornadoes
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians is assessing the damage from tornadoes that hit the North Dakota reservation on Monday.

The tribe said 19 homes were destroyed. People are being given housing at the tribe's casino in Belcourt.

The reservation was the hardest hit by six tornadoes. But a state official said it's doubtful the damage will reach $1 million, the threshold needed for a federal disaster declaration.
