Indian student ACT scores lag in South Dakota
ACT scores for Indian students in South Dakota continue to fall below the state average, according to the state Department of Education.

The average composite ACT score reached 22.0 in 2008, an increase for the third consecutive year. Yet the average score for Indian students remained flat at 17.5.

Indian students are about 11 percent of the public school population but few of them go onto college. Only 2 percent are enrolled in state universities.
