Grant to be used for Lakota-based curriculum
A $330,284 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will be used to develop a Lakota-based curriculum for youth on the Pine Ridge Reservation and the Rosebud Sioux Reservation.

Lakota Circles of Hope curriculum is targeted to students in grades 2 to 5. It emphasizes Lakota traditions and values and encourages them to make healthy life choices.

Catholic Social Services will administer the grant for the program.
