Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation to set up drug court
The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation of Kansas is using a $350,000 federal grant to set up a drug court.

The "Healing to Wellness" court will help tribal members address substance abuse issues. The process promotes culture and family involvement.

“We're going to have some of our elders involved, community members, social services, tribal police, and obviously the court system, it's going to be a much more intensive system where they're meeting with the court team on a weekly basis to help address some of those issues they're facing,” Royetta Rodewald. told KSNT-TV.

The drug court starts October 1.
