The family of a two-year-old boy from the Blackfeet Nation of Montana will hold a memorial in his honor on Saturday.
James Many White Horses died at the hands of his 31-year-old mother, according to authorities in Great Falls. Police found James' badly decomposed body in the trunk of his mother's car last week.
Summer Many White Horses has been charged with deliberate homicide. She has reportedly admitted to placing James in the trunk but has insisted his death was accidental.
The cause of death is still being determined so the family won't be able to bury him until the autopsy is complete.
