Osage Nation's newspaper faces funding cut
The newspaper owned by the Osage Nation could lose tribal funds if lawmakers have their way.

Lawmakers want the Osage News to be free of Chief Jim Gray's control. They say Gray has not implemented the tribe's Independent Press Act.

But the vote to cut funds came after the paper reprinted a Tulsa World article that said some lawmakers are being investigated by the tribe's gaming commission. The full Osage Congress still has to consider the issue.
