Utah tribes sign consultation agreement with state
Six Utah tribes and an Indian clinic signed a consultation agreement with Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr (R) on Wednesday.

The agreement provide a framework of consultation between the tribes, the Indian Walk-in Center in Salt Lake City and the state Department of Human Services. It creates a Tribal and Indian Issues Committee, which will meet regularly to discuss shared issues.

The agreement was signed at the third annual Native American Summit. A seventh tribe is expected to sign the agreement later.
