The Navajo Nation is getting ready to celebrate the 97th annual Shiprock Navajo Fair in Shiprock, New Mexico.
The tribe expects 120,000 to attend the nine-day event, which coincides with the sacred Ye'ii-Bi-Chei ceremony. The ceremony begins tonight and continues through October 5.
The fair festivities begin October 2 and include a parade, the Miss Northern Navajo pageant and a powwow.
