Prairie Island Tribe seeks hearing on nuclear site
The Prairie Island Indian Community of Minnesota asked the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board to hold a hearing on health and environmental issues associated with a nuclear plant next to the reservation.

The tribe has long been concerned about the plant,. which is up for relicensing. The tribe says the environmental report for the relicensing application is inadequate.

The board will consider the tribe's concerns before deciding whether to hold an hearing.
