Southern Ute Tribe invests in biofuels company
The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado is a first-round investor in a alternative energy company in Colorado.

The tribe is leasing land on the reservation to Solix Biofuels for a pilot plant. The facility will convert algae into oil for use in airplanes and diesel trucks.

Solix Biofuels raised a total of $10.5 million in its first round.
