EPA issues boil water order for Omaha Reservation
The Environmental Protection Agency is ordering residents of a city on the Omaha Reservation in Nebraska to boil their water until further notice.

The EPA said a failure in the water system in Macy could pose a health threat to residents. "Constant vigilance to protect public health and ensure safe drinking water is essential," region seven administrator John Askew said in a press release. "EPA appreciates the cooperation of the Omaha Tribe, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Services, and local officials to restore normal service and safe drinking water as quickly as possible."

Macy has experienced a slew of water problems over the last several weeks. Students have only been to school one week out of the last five weeks.
