Salt River Tribe votes on liquor sales at restaurants
Members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community are going to the polls today to vote on an expansion of the tribe's liquor sale ordinance.

The ordinance currently allows liquor sales at casinos, hotels, resorts and golf courses. Tribal members are voting to add restaurants to the list.

A landowners group called the Salt River Commerce Association supports the expansion, saying it will attract businesses to the reservation.
