Indian Country is abuzz with talk about the new head for the Bureau of Indian Affairs but the man at the center of the speculation isn't commenting.

Larry EchoHawk, a lawyer from the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma, has been selected by President Barack Obama to lead the agency, according to tribal leaders and key members of Congress. But in an e-mail to Indian Country Today he said he couldn't comment on the potential nomination.

EchoHawk's brother, John, served on Obama's transition team at the Interior Department.
