Pueblo and county discuss water treatment deal
Santa Clara Pueblo and Santa Fe County, New Mexico, are in discussions over a water treatment agreement.

The tribe built a wastewater plant on its reservation. But it's not being used right now due to delays in some economic development projects.

So the tribe is offering the plant to the county, which needs to address a growing septic problem. A pipeline would bring wastewater to the reservation for treatment.

The tribe would benefit by charging the county for use of the plant. The treated wastewater could be used at the tribe's golf course.
