Group seeks information about Wind River deaths
The Wyoming Coalition for Open Government is asking a federal judge for information about a juvenile case that is reportedly related to the deaths of three girls on the Wind River Reservation.

The group asked the U.S. Attorney in Wyoming for the docket number to the case but the Department of Justice said federal law prohibits the release of juvenile proceedings. So the group asked Judge William Downes for information.

Ohetica Win Elyxis Gardner, 13; Winter Rose Thomas, 14; and Alexandrea "Alex" Whiteplume, 15, were found dead in a housing complex on the reservation in June 2008. Federal authorities have not commented publicly on anyone who may have been charged in connection with the case.
