Two deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department won't face charges for the fatal shooting of a member of the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians.
Eli Morillo, 26, was shot and killed on the reservation on May 8, 2008. A report from the County District Attorney's Office aid the officers acted in self-defense.
Morillo was brandishing a assault rifle and pointed it towards the officers, according to the report.
The district attorney also completed an investigation into the fatal shootings of two other tribal members in May 2008 but a written report is pending.
