Facebook not so friendly to Native surnames
A member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota finally had her Facebook account reinstated after it was terminated when she used her real name.

Robin Kills The Enemy initially signed up as "Robin Killstheenemy" because the site wouldn't accept her entire surname. So when she changed her account, Facebook suspended her for using a "fake" name.

Kills The Enemy had to send in a scanned copy of a government-issued ID in order to get her privileges back. A different user named Melissa Holds The Enemy said it took her a month to get on Facebook again.

Kills The Enemy's ordeal led to the creation of a group on Facebook called A group called "Facebook: don't discriminate against Native surnames!!!" It has more than 1,000 members.
