A New Mexico man will stand trial for the drunk-driving death of William Tenorio of San Felipe Pueblo, a judge said on Wednesday.

Carlos Fierro is charged with vehicular homicide and causing an accident involving death.. He allegedly struck and killed Tenorio, 46, in the early morning hours of November 26, 2008.

A judge heard testimony this week to determine whether there was probable cause to proceed with the trial. Numerous witnesses testified that they saw Fierro's car hit Tenorio and flee the scene.

FIerro was reportedly heavily intoxicated. The accident occurred outside a bar in Santa Fe.
