The Oneida Nation is close to reopening a golf course in the village of Hobart, Wisconsin.

After settling a lawsuit with the village, the tribe closed a $10.5 million deal for the Thornberry Creek Golf Course in December. All that's left now is for the village to approve a liquor license for the facility.

The tribe paid a lower price for the course to account for restrictions imposed on the property. The village says it must consent to any land-into-trust application for the site.

In related news, the tribe signed a 15-year agreement to pay the city of Green Bay $250,000 a year for municipal services.
