Confirmation hearing for IHS nominee on April 23
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee has scheduled an April 23 confirmation hearing for Yvette Roubideaux to be director of the Indian Health Service.

Roubideaux is a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. If confirmed, she would be the first Native woman to lead the IHS.

The hearing is set to take place at 2:15pm in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building.
