The Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho signed an agreement to house inmates in the new Nez Perce County jail.

The agreement was signed on Monday and the first offender was housed at the jail later that day. The tribe pays the county $50 per inmate per night.

The tribe lacks its own detention facility.
