Hualapai Tribe moves ahead with water project
The Hualapai Tribe of Arizona is seeking $6 million in federal funds to build a water pipeline on the reservation.

The Grand Canyon West area is serviced by a two-inch pipeline. The tribe had to truck in 16,000 gallons of water a day when the line broke last winter.

The tribe is seeking grants from the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Agency to build a much larger pipeline.
