Native corporations to help Shell with off-shore drilling
Two Alaska Native village corporations have entered into a partnership with Shell to provide services for off-shore drilling operations.

Olgoonik Corp., the corporation for the village of Wainwright, will serve as shallow-water logistics hub. Ukpeaegvik Inupiat Corp., the corporation for the village of Barrow, will serve as an aviation base.

UIC subsidiary Umiaq is also providing Shell with onshore contingency services under a $15 million, five-year contract.
