Police: Stabbing stemmed from Indian rights argument
Police in Santa Fe, New Mexico, say someone was brutally stabbed over an argument about Indian land rights and tourists.

Authorities said Tim Herrera, who was charged with attempted murder and tampering with evidence, repeatedly stabbed the victim in the throat, in the arms and in the back. The attack occurred last night.

The victim, and whether or not he or she is Indian, was not identified The Santa Fe New Mexican said more information about the crime is expected.
