Northern Cheyenne man admits to killing daughter
A man from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the death of his 6-year-old daughter.

Adrian Gary Goodbear, 34, admitted he severely beat Lyrik Stashia Anrita Goodbear on August 30, 2008. She suffered extensive injuries and was pronounced dead two days later.

Goodbear was initially charged with first-degree murder for his daughter's death. A second charge of assault resulting in serious injury was related to an incident involving another child on the same day in August 2008.

Goodbear faces life in prison and a $250,000 fine when he is sentenced on May 19.
