Actor Adam Beach urged youth from the Lac La Ronge First Nation in Saskatchewan to follow their dreams.
Beach was exposed to drugs, crime and gangs as a youth. But he turned to acting and Native traditions and become a TV and movie star.
"To me, where I am from and what I was doing, it's absolutely crazy," Beach told the youth, CBC News reported.
Beach is from the Dog Creek First Nation in Manitoba.
