Saginaw Chippewa Tribe working to repatriate ancestral remains
The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe is working with Central Michigan University to repatriate 144 ancestors and funerary objects.

The remains were donated to the university several years ago. The tribe is set to bring them back home early next month.

"CMU understands the cultural significance, and there is a mutual respect that is immeasurable," tribal spokesperson Frank Cloutier told The Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun.
