Michigan attorney general opposes Saginaw Chippewa Tribe deal
Michigan attorney general Mike Cox (R) is objecting to a settlement with the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe.

The tribe and local governments agree to end a lawsuit over the boundaries of the Isabella Reservation. But Cox says the deal raises concerns about law enforcement and taxation.

Judge Thomas L. Ludington will be accepting public comments on the settlement until November 19. Cox says the public needs more time to review the deal.

Turtle Talk has posted materials from the case.
