The Senate Indian Affairs Committee held a hearing and listening session this morning to discuss youth suicide and mental health resources in Indian Country.

Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North Dakota), the chairman of the committee, cut the hearing short because members had to vote on the Senate floor. Staffers stayed behind to listen to the remaining witnesses present their testimony.

Allison Binney, the staff director and chief counsel, said the committee will continue to focus on the issue.
