Rep. Lujan statement on House passage of Cobell settlement
Rep. Ben Ray Lujan (D-New Mexico) released the following statement on May 28, 2010. His district is home to about 8,000 Navajo trust beneficiaries who are expected to benefit from the settlement to the Indian trust fund lawsuit.

After many years, I’m glad that many Native Americans are finally getting the justice they deserve. It is an honor to vote to fulfill the federal government’s responsibility to Native Americans in my district and throughout the country.
