Gary Sprague, a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan, was sentenced to probation and community service for making threats against tribal leaders.

Sprague must remain on probation for a year and perform 250 hours of community service. He also said he must undergo a behavorial health assessment -- an issue that led to the charges against him.

Sprague had spoken about tribal leaders to his doctor at the tribe's wellness center. He was found guilty on 12 counts of threat and intimidation.
