BIA officer dies while responding to call on Utah reservation
A Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer was killed while responding to a call for assistance on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation in Utah.

Josh Yazzie, 33, was only a couple of miles from the incident when he lost control of his patrol car on Monday evening. His vehicle plunged more than 200 feet down an embankment, The Vernal Express reported.

"Things that happen in life can be so unexpected, at anytime we can lose good people. Josh was one of those good people," Ute Tribe Chairman Curtis Cesspooch told the paper.

Yazzie left behind a wife and two children, according to news reports.
