Senate Indian Affairs Committee oversight hearing on NCLB
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold an oversight hearing next Thursday, June 17.

The hearing will focus on the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The law required public schools and Bureau of Indian Education schools to develop performance standards and it linked federal funding to the results.

The hearing follows a May 12 hearing that looked at Indian school safety.
