Montana study finds success in treating Indian meth offenders
Montana's methamphetamine treatment program is finding success with Indian offenders, according to a University of Montana study.

Indian offenders who completed the program at Nexus Treatment Center were one-third less likely than non-Indian offenders to have their community placement revoked for a technical violation, the study said. Before the program, Indian offenders were more than twice as likely to be revoked.

The study also found a high rate of completion for the program, which operates under a contract with the state.
