Senate Indian Affairs Committee hearing on two water rights bills
The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a hearing on two tribal water rights bills today.

S.2956, the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Mission Indians Water Rights Settlement Act, was introduced on January 26. It resolves the water rights of the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians of California.

S.3290, the Blackfeet Water Rights Settlement Act of 2010 , was introduced on April 29. It resolves the water rights of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana.

The hearing takes place at 10:30am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. The witness list follows
