Jicarilla Apache Nation hopes to recover $6M in royalty dispute
The Jicarilla Apache Nation of New Mexico expects to recover about $6 million in a royalty dispute.

The tribe sued the Interior Department over the calculation of gas royalties. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals said the decision was "arbitrary and capricious."

"We have waited long enough for our rights to be protected and now look forward to working with the Interior Department to swiftly conclude this matter," Jicarilla President Levi Pesata said in a press release, the Associated Press reported.

The DC Circuit ordered DOI to reconsider the matter.
