Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation holds primary for chairman
The current chairman and a former chairman of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation of North Dakota will face each other again after winning the most votes in a primary on Tuesday.

Tex Hall, who served two terms as chairman, had 529 votes. Marcus Levings, the incumbent, had 415 votes.

Levings had said he wasn't going to run for a second term but changed his mind in July. Hall, who lost to Levings in 2006, decided to make a comeback.

The general election takes place November 2.
