Ernest House Jr., a member of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, is helping Colorado Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper (D) with his transition.
House is co-chair of the transition committee for Lt. Gov.-elect Joe Garcia. He's already met with Garcia to discuss tribal issues.
“It’s great to see that he’s already been engaged,” House told The Durango Herald.
