Judge releases video of Native man being kicked by police officer
A judge in Canada released video footage that shows a police officer kicking a Native man like "you wouldn't kick a dog."

The July 2009 video shows Terry Delay being dragged into his cell by several officers. He is then apparently kicked by Special Const. Melanie Morris.

Police later accused Delay of assaulting Morris. But Ontario Court Justice Dianne Nicholas refused to allow charges to be pressed against him.

“The public, overall, I think have tremendous confidence in what we do. And I understand they’re shaken by what they’ve seen," Ottawa Police Chief Vern White said at a press conference today, the Canadian Press reported.

The Delay video is just one of two that show Morris in a compromising position. In the other video, from 2008, she apparently kneed a woman twice.
