Deputy chief of Cherokee Nation stable following a heart attack
Joe Grayson, the deputy chief of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, is reported to be in stable condition after suffering a heart attack.

Grayson was hospitalized on Sunday after the incident. "The Grayson family appreciates the support they have received but requests no visitors at this time,” the tribe said in a statement.

Grayson has served as deputy chief since 2003.
