Haskell professor awarded grant to post Cheyenne ledger online
A professor at Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas has been awarded a $29,400 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Denise Low will use the grant to create an online resource of a ledger book from 1879. The ledger features the drawings of seven Cheyenne men who were held at a jail in Kansas.

The ledger will be a part of the Plains Indian Ledger Art Project.
