San Manuel Band chairman named to California Board of Education

James Ramos, the chairman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, has been appointed to the California State Board of Education.

Ramos as served as chair of his tribe since 2008. He recently won re-election to the San Bernardino Community College Board of Trustees..

Ramos was named to the state board post by new Gov. Jerry Brown (D).
