Cherokee Nation acquires information technology firm in Colorado

The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma has acquired an information technology firm in Colorado.

ETI Professionals provides project management and staffing solutions, primarily to government agencies. The company employs 375 people in 40 states.

"This acquisition allows us to continue our proven model of diversifying our business holdings, while also creating careers and building the overall economy in northeast Oklahoma through the future growth of all our IT companies," Chief Chad Smith said in a press release.

The tribe will rename the company Cherokee Nation Government Solutions. Its headquarters will be in Tulsa.
