Lummi Nation agrees to resume talks over ferry on tribal land

The Lummi Nation will meet with Whatcom County, Washington, on Thursday to discuss the Lummi Island ferry.

The tribe owns the land where the ferry docks. The county has reportedly agreed to a $200,000 lease but has balked at additional infrastructure costs the tribe has requested.

The tribe has given the county until April 11 to reach an agreement.
