Saginaw Chippewa Tribe ready to break ground on water park

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan will break ground on a water park and hotel on Monday.

The Soaring Eagle Water Park & Hotel will feature a 45,000-square-foot water park and a 243-room hotel. It's scheduled to open in approximately 14 to 16 months.

"This will mark an exciting time in our Tribal community and the greater community," Chief Dennis V. Kequom said in a statement, The Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun reported.
