Lummi Nation continues negotiations for lease agreement

The Lummi Nation and Whatcom County in Washington continue to negotiate an agreement for the Lummi Island ferry.

The latest proposal, however, was rejected by the county council. The county sent a counterproposal to the tribe and the two sides are set to meet again on Friday.

The tribe owns the land where the ferry docks.
