Pascua Yaqui Tribe receives grant to build veterans cemetery

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona has received a $322,554 grant to build a veterans cemetery on the reservation.

The tribe will use the money for a two-acre cemetery. The facility will have space for about 188 veterans and their families.

The tribe is among the first to receive a grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs for a cemetery. Previously, only states could seek grants.
