Bill Anoatubby leads Chickasaw Nation for a record 7th term


Bill Anoatubby was sworn in as governor of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma for a record seventh consecutive term.

Anoatubby was first elected in 1987. He didn't draw an opponent in the most recent election.

"The Chickasaw Nation has seen great success over the previous decades. We have met many of our goals, but we continue to set new goals," Anoatubby said in a press release. "Through hard work and perseverance, working together as Chickasaw people, we will continue to make progress.
